Believe in Yourself

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday.  Today I have for you a new image from Heartcraft Paper called Fuego Fae.  I love this image.  It makes me think of having a fire burning inside to make your dreams come true.  My base is 6x6 in red that was in my stash. I printed the sentiment that comes with the image and then ran it through my laminator using Red Velvet foil.  I used red glitter, black, and copper mirror peel offs to frame the image.  I also used some Nuvo Glitter drops Golden Sunset and Yellow Bird.   around his flaming wings.  I was to trying to really have a glowing feeling around his wings.  I colored my image using my Copics.

When I started coloring the image, I thought at first that I wanted his hair to mirror his wings and look like a flame.  Well I didn't like that so colored over the Y13 and Y15 with E15 and E18.  I love how the hair looks against the flames.  His tunic is R35 and R37.  His pants are C7, C5, and C3.  For the wings and the little flames, I used R37, R34, YR16, and finished with Y13, Y15.  I took my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen and covered the wings and the flames with sparkle and managed to get a decent picture of the sparkle.

So that is the card for today.  I hope you liked my card and will check out Heartcraft Paper where you can find this image and a lot more.  You still have time to enter a project in the Heartcraft Paper Anything Goes Challenge.  Entries accepted until 1/28/19.  Winners announced on 2/1/19.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Come and create something with me.

Sparkle

J

Hey Stampers! Welcome to the first Southern Girls Challenge of 2019.  This is an Anything Goes Challenge. Our sponsors for this challenge are Neat and Tangled and The Paper Shelter. I am using an image from The Paper Shelter called Glittery and Sparkling.  I also typed a sentiment when I printed her. “Don’t ever let anyone dull your sparkle!” The rest of the sentiment is on the inside of the card.  I colored her with my Copic markers. I used White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops on her horn. I used Bird Nuvo Glitter Drops on the stars and the jewels in her headpiece. Once I was done coloring I took my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen to add my glitter and sparkle.  I added some gems for a little more glitter.

Copics used:
Skin: E00, E11, and E21
Stars:Y15
Cloud: B000
Rainbow R27, Y15, R30, and YG17
Eyes G14
Head Piece: V25

Special Sketch Saturday

hey Stampers!  Happy Saturday. I just wanted to pop in and share this little cutie.  This is new image from Heartcraft Paper.  He is baby Draco.  Today Heartcraft Paper is sponsoring the sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday.

I used BG32,34, and 49  for the baby. My eggshell is colored with E41,42, and 43.  I colored my sand with E31 and then I used my .03 Sepia multi liner to create the dot detail on the sand.  The shards I used B0000 and B000.  I used Atlantic Mist Nuvo drops for sparkle and finishing touch.

Check out the challenge and share what you make with us at HCP Facebook group, Heartcraft Paper Gallery .  My post is short today I know but I am currently out of town spending time with my family and celebrating our Christmas.  I hope everyone has a great day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Bring on Spring

Hey Stampers!  Today is Release Day for Heartcraft Paper and we are doing a blog hop.  If you are following the hop, you have just come from Tina's blog.

I am excited to bring you this adorable image, she is Primavera.  The sentiment that comes with her is "Spring is the Air!".  I didn't allow enough space on my card for the sentiment so I hand wrote it!  Don't be afraid to use your own handwriting, it makes a card even more special.  I printed her on 110# card stock and began.  I colored her with my Copic markers.  For her wings, I used B000 and B00.  Her eyes are B18 and I added a highlight with my white gel pen.  Her skin is E02 and E00, with R20 for her cheeks.  Her hair I used E37, E35, and E33.  The flowers in her hair and bouquet are R05, R08, and R59.  Y15 for the daisies (at least I think they are daisies) with Y17 for the centers.  For the leaves and greenery in her hair, I used YG17 and G14.  For her dress I wanted to give an hombre feel to it.  I will be honest, next time I won't take the dark color so high up but I like how it turned out as a whole.  So her dress is RV69, R32, and R34.  Once I was happy with my fade, I wanted to add a "diamond" look to the dress by using my white gel pen, however, I didn't really like how it was looking so I took my White Blizzard Nuvo drops and went over the white pen.  The result is incredibly sparkly.  I also took my Wink of Stella and went over the rest of her dress and her wings, I hate that I couldn't get the sparkle to pick up in my picture but the sparkle in real life is awesome.  To finish my focal panel, I took my Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink and did some direct to paper application, my result looks like a pretty white fluffy cloud blue sky. My card base is a standard A2 top folding card. I wanted some interest in the pattern paper but I wanted Primavera to be the focus.  My patterned paper is from the Flirty 6x6 pad from Queen and Co.  I used a piece of white and silver ribbon to cover where the two papers met.  I used foam tape to attach my focal piece to the card base.  And that is my card for today.

The next stop on the hop is Kelly.  In addition to it being release day, it also the start of a new challenge, we are on #7 which is super exciting.  Our challenges are Anything Goes so you can create a card using any digi's, stamps, etc.  Three winners are chosen and announced on February 1st, prizes are images from this current release.  Also Heartcraft Paper has a Facebook Group for fun, inspiration, and positive atmosphere.  Come check it out.

If you want to start from the beginning of the hop below is the order and links to everyone!  Thank you for stopping by.  Come and create something with me.
