Haunt It

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween.  I have one final Halloween card for the season.   Today's card features a sentiment from the Haunt It set and the small ghosts from Cool Ghoul.  The sentiment says "if you've got it, Haunt It". So I built my card around the sentiment.  I used a top folding A2 size card in light gray.  My frame piece is Blackberry Bliss.  I stamped the sentiment in the same color and cut it out with an oval die from stash.  The house I used comes from the very first dynamics I ever bought from MFT, but it is retired the set was called Spooky House.  I used the black paper from a set that bought from Queen & Co. called Pretty Papers.  The paper just gleams in real life.  It is self-adhesive paper so I attached a piece to black card stock and cut out my house.  The pack also comes with a gold piece of glitter paper so I backed the windows and the door with the piece.  The ghosts were stamped on the silver piece from the pack and  I cut them out.  The fence also came in the same set as the house and I used plain black card stock from stash to cut it out..  For some finishing touches I used Chocolate Fondue Nuvo Glitter Drops.  They are dark enough that it blends beautifully with the card stock.  The inside I stamped "Happy Halloween".  Sad to have this be the last Halloween card already but now I can make lots of Fall and Christmas cards.

I hope you stop by The Project Bin and check out these two stamps sets as well as the wonderful sets Denise has to offer.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Calling All Witches

Hey Stampers!  Happy Friday.  Today’s card features products from the October Fully Loaded Kit from Creative Escape Papercrafting. I made this card for a girl at work who LOVES Halloween. I took what would have be a great Halloween card and turned it into the perfect Halloween birthday card. My card is top folding A2 size card. The front is a piece of gray shimmer card stock from my stash. I cut two of the spooky trees and three of the small bats using the black glitter card stock that comes in the kit. The sentiment on the front is one of the stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet. The floral wrap didn’t go with my theme so I trimmed it off and used just the words. The inside is a sheet of the 6x6 patterned paper that comes in the kit. I saw this piece and wished for an entire pad of this pattern. The inside sentiment is something I printed from my computer and cut with oval dies from my stash. The recepient of this card was estatic and said it was perfect.

I am loving these kits from Creative Escape Papercrafting.  I have already received my November kit and can’t wait to share it with you. I hope you will check out Creative Escape Papercrafting. This kit is sold out but you can still sign up to get the November kit. These kits are jammed packed with goodies.

So this is my project for today. Thank you for stopping by.

Nice Shoes!

Hey Stampers! Happy Wednesday!  Today's card project features one of my favorite stamp sets from The Project Bin called Haunt It.  I absolutely love the puns in this set.  I used the big sentiment "I'd drop a house on someone for some nice shoes, too!".  This made me giggle A LOT!  So my card details are as follows, the card base is a dark grey, top folding A2 size card from my stash.  I used a piece of light purple shimmer paper from my stash to frame the base.  I cut two rectangles 2x3 with patterned paper from Fright Fest by Queen & Co.  I did a layer in black card stock.  The sentiment is stamped on white card stock using Wilted Violent Distress Oxide ink and framed with black glitter card stock.  I used the roof die from my Spellbinders October card kit to make the sentiment look like a house,  I cut a roof from both black glitter paper and the same paper as my rectangles and popped it up on foam squares.  I used five glossy dots in the purple color from Pink and Main for some finishing touches, along with tapping my clear Sparkle pen on my finger to make splatter.  I didn't put a sentiment on the inside but this card be used for almost any occasion.

So that is my card for today, I hope it inspires you to check out The Project Bin for this stamp set and other fabulous sets that Denise offers.

Thank you for stopping by.

Yay Yay

Hey Stampers!  Happy Monday!  Today's card features a set from MFT called Birthday Chick.  This is from a couple of releases ago but I loved it and was able to pick it up last month.  So this card is one that made for one of my coworkers.  The patterned paper is from Queen & Co called Pretty Presents. I used Doll Pink to frame my layers.  I used my Copics to color my chicks.  The chicks I used Y17, Y15, and Y13.  The cupcake wrapper is W1, the "frosting" on the cupcakes is YG25, R37. and Y13.  Party hats are B18. YG03, and R29.  The balloon is YG17 and YG25.  I used my Signo Gel white pen to add some high lights.  I used C3 to create come ground for my chicks.  On the inside, I stamped Make a Wish!  This card is the perfect birthday card because it is bright colors.  I love how this turned out and the recipient was thrilled with it.  For a finishing touch I added some confetti sequins and some clear Wink of Stella to the balloon and the party hats.

So this is my card for today.  Thank you for stopping by.  Come and create something with me.

Kinday corny

Hey Stampers!  Happy Sunday!  Today is HeartcraftPaper day!  Today's project features the digi-image Kinda Corny  My card is smaller than normal, closer to a 4 bar card it measures 3 3/4 x 4 3/4.  The base is lime green from my stash.  The frame piece for the image is piece of white card stock that I made orange by using my Tangelo Dew Drop.  I used the direct to paper method and rubbed the ink all the over the card stock until I had the look I wanted.  The black ribbon is 1/8 in wide, satin (again from my stash) For the coloring I used my Copic markers.  From top to bottom, I used W1, YR16 and finally Y17, Y15, and Y13.  The bow on my girl is YG03 and YG25.  For finishing touches, I added clear Wink of Stella on the both candy corns and the bow.  I also added 3 dots of Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Crystal Drops beside the girl and 2 beside the boy and viola my card is done.  I didn't put anything on the inside but my thought was to write "but your mine!".

Just wanted to let you know that you still have a week to enter a project in HCP Anything Goes Challenge #4 and wanted to invite to join the HCP Facebook group, where you can get inspiration, fun, and sneak peeks of what is coming!

So this is all I have for you today!  Thank you for stopping by.

Put On the Pointy Hat

Hey Stampers!  Happy Saturday!  I am so glad to be crafting again.  Today's card features products from my October Creative Escape Papercrafting.  The kit is showing out of stock but sometimes CEP puts together more so I linked it just in case.  The image for this card is one cut a parts from the 12x12 sheet of card stock that comes in the kit.  I saw this and knew it needed to be its very own card.  I used a piece of black card stock that comes in the kit to frame the image.  The card base is the orange 1/2 sheet that comes in the kit.  I used some of the glitter ribbon as well picked two pumpkins and three ghosts from the sequins mix.  I used some Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Crystal Drops. (This is the only product that did not come in the kit).

Now on the inside I had used one of the stickers from the sticker that comes in the kit BUT my naughty puppy got a hold of the card and chewed up the corner so I don't have a picture of the inside of the card.  I will have more cards coming using this kits and Sneak Peeks for the November kit started yesterday.  Check out the Creative Escape Papercrafting Facebook group to see sneak peeks.  This is my second kit and so far I am loving everything.  So this is my card for today.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Come and create something with me

Don't hate me!

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  I am so sorry that I missed last week but I had been sick for about 2 weeks before I went to the doctor and I had bronchitis and needed to rest up.

So today's card is quick and easy and so cute.  I used Cool Ghoul for today's card.  The background was done using Versamark ink and the two ghost images from the stamp set on a piece of Blackberry Bliss from my stash.  I am trying really hard to start using the paper and card stock that is in my stash so everything paper wise is not new.  So once the background piece was done, I stamped the sentiment "Don't hate me cause I'm Bootiful" with Wilted Violent Distress Oxide ink onto to a piece of white card stock.  I used my set of circle dies from Kat Scrappiness to cut the sentiment and a piece of green polka dotted pattern paper. My ghosts are cut out using the dies that come with the set.  I cut them out from the other side of the green paper, so the ghosts are white with green polka dots.  I added some black gems for their eyes.  I used foam tape to attach my sentiment to the green circle.  I added the ghosts to the back of that piece to make it look like they are floating behind the sentiment.  I attached the Blackberry bliss piece to a white A2 card base that is side folding.  I took some purple gems and placed them around the on my background piece.  For a finishing touch I took my clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen and created some sparkle splatter over the whole piece.  This card would be perfect to mass re-produce, just changing the colors.  So this is my project for today.  I hope you like it and will check out this set and all the other fabulous sets over at The Project Bin.

Let It Not Snow!

Hey Stampers!  Happy Monday!  I am bringing you another great image from the HeartcraftPaper!  Today my card uses the image Let It Snow!  I love the look on this snowman's face. It says, I got something good in my cup!  So today I just did some simple Copic coloring.  I used R29 and R37 for the hearts, the hat band, and the coffee cup.  B18 for the blue eyes, with a dot of white gel pen, and E57 and E59 for the arms and finally YR16 for his nose.  I also used W1 for some shading and blended it out with my Colorless blender.  The ball on his hat and the snowflakes are covered in Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops.  I colored the hat with my Clear Spectrum Noir Glitter pen.  I used Gold mirror card stock to frame the image and I used some left over Red Berries Specialty Paper to cover my card base.  I have been feeling the Red and Gold color scheme for Christmas cards right now.

So this is my card for today!  I hope you check out this image and all the other amazing products Monica has at Heartcraft Paper.  Don't forget we have a new challenge going on until the 28th of the month.  It is an Anything Goes Challenge, check out!

Pumpkin Spice and Fall Leaves

Hey Stampers!  Happy Thursday!  It is time for a new challenge from Southern Girls Challenge.  The theme of the  challenge is stripes and our sponsor is Newton's Nook.  So my take on the stripes was to do a "sun ray" pattern card.  I used different pieces from Echo Park's I love Fall which is from last year and I used the set Fall-ing for You.  I stamped the big sentiment  from this set with Pumpkin Pie ink from Stampin' UP!  I also stamped the pumpkin image and the leaves from the set in bottom left corner.  Stamping them in Pumpkin Pie ink gives it a tone on tone look.  I added some Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Crystal Drops randomly on the sentiment and then around the pumpkins.  I used some metallic specialty paper from my stash to frame the sentiment and make it look more finished.  While I don't necessarily love Pumpkin Spice Lattes, I do love pumpkin pie, bread, cookies, muffins whatever pumpkin.  Fall is also my favorite time of the year so the colors I used make me happy.  My card base is an orange from my stash.  I didn't put anything on the inside so I could use it as a note card or just because card.  I hope you will join us in the challenge.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thank you for stopping by.

Are you ready to Let It Snow?

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  Thank you for dropping by!  Today I have a card showcasing a brand new stamp set from The Project Bin called North Pole.  I love this new set.  I make probably more Halloween and Christmas cards than other card.  So I can never have enough Winter/Christmas stamps.  This card was super easy and took no time at all to make which means it would be quick and easy to mass produce if you wanted.  So I will be honest when I was visualizing this card, I saw blue and silver in my head, however I am out of silver mirror card stock so I had to change my plan.  I think the finished project is gorgeous!  So I have a red A2 size card base made from Red Hot card stock from Gina K Designs.  My layers are Red Berries from Tonic Studios.  I love this because when you tilt the card the light catches the card stock and gives it amazing movement.  I used Gold Mirror card stock to frame the Red Berries.  For my sentiment panel I used Pearlescent Ivory Sheen.  I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink from Stampin' UP!  Once I stamped the sentiment in the center, I decided that the card stock was a little bare, so I carefully arranged the image so I could stamp just the snowflakes from the stamp.

For a finishing touch, I took my Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter drops and filled in some of the centers of the snowflakes and then added some random drops around the card.  These drops are the perfect compliment to my color scheme.  On the inside I stamped "I'll be inside making cards"

I love that outside is elegant looking and then there is the snappy message on the inside.  Denise has really given us some fabulous stamp sets in the last few weeks.  I have been having a great time using all the new products.  So this is all I have for you today.  I hope you take a minute to check out The Project Bin for this set and all the other amazing sets that Denise offers.

It's Release Day for Heartcraft Paper

Hey Stampers!  Happy Monday and welcome to release day for Heartcraft Paper!  I can't believe we are already on our fourth release for HCP, it seems like we just started together.  I know I saw this every month but you are going to love everything that Monica has for us this month.  The releases just get better and better.

For my project today I did something different, obviously this is not a card but something I have been wanting to try.  Coloring on wood.  I used Snowman Carols and piece of snowflake shaped wood from my stash. I want to give you a little background about this snowflake.  My mom was extremely talented when it came to painting either from a pattern or free hand.  She would buy patterns and then trace them onto wood either using Graphite paper or tracing paper.   When she passed away we found a ton of wood that she had bought and never got the chance to use.  I couldn't bear to just throw it away so it has been in my closet for almost four years, I tell you this so you will understand when I say I have no idea where the snowflake came from.  However, you can get wood shapes at your local big box craft stores and that would work as well.

So I was channeling my inner momma when I did this.  So I printed my digital image just on a piece of copy paper.  I trimmed it down so it would fit on the center of my snowflake and then I grabbed some tracing paper (also my mom's) and was ready to go.  Here is what my pattern looked like.

So I lined this up on the snowflake and started to carefully trace it onto the wood. You can't erase any mistakes but you can cover most with your pencils.  So here is what the snowflake looked like when I was done tracing.

When I was done tracing I realized that should have line the image up under one of the points of the snowflake in staed of in between.  I can still hang this but it would have looked nicer the other way.  I am so happy with how this turned out.  I colored the snowman white of course.  His nose is orange, his hat and scarf are red and green.  His arms are brown and his buttons are black.  I used just regular colored pencils for this.  You could use more expensive pencils to get brighten colors I am sure.  But because I had never done this before I didn't know what to expect or how my pencils would be effected.  Coloring on the wood didn't bother the pencils at all, I will just need to sharpen them before I used them again.  So the last thing I did was take a Marvy Snow Marker and add a snow pile under my snowman and added snowflakes.   It  looked nice after the "snow" dried but the cool thing about this pen is that once it is dry, you can hit it with your heat gun and it will puff up to give texture and dimension.  So in the main photo at the top you can see that.  I did use a Copic Multi Liner to color the music notes and trace around his arms, scarf, hat, and to darken his eyes, nose, and mouth.

Because it is release day, that means there is a blog hop going on as well and release day means a new blog challenge where you can win prizes.  Below is the hop order so you can go check out my teammates amazing creations.  If you want more information on the Challenge pop over Heartcraft Paper and get all the details.  The graphic below gives the basic info.
