HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENISE!

Hey Stampers!  Welcome to our blog hop celebrating our fearless leader, Denise, owner of the fabulous Project Bin.  You should have hopped over from Tamie's  blog.  So this is only my second blog hop so I am super excited to have everyone stop by.  I am using the Wise Women set today.

So I chose this set rather than a traditional birthday set because I love the sentiment of giving a woman the right pair of shoes.  So I used Watermelon Wonder ink and card stock both from Stampin' UP!  I used the two high heel images and created my own patterned paper.  I did second generation stamping.  Then I took Pink Champagne Nuvo glitter dots and used that to fill in the open spaces on the card.  I adhered my "patterned" piece to a standard A2 card of Watermelon Wonder which is a really nice pinkish red color.  I used some pink ribbon from my stash.  On the inside I wrote "Denise, you are cause for celebration!  Happy Birthday!" because this will be going into the mail to Denise for her birthday it will be a little late but she has a preview. (Denise--hope you have an amazing day!)  Thank you for stopping by and joining us in celebrating Denise;  your next stop on the birthday hop is Jeanette!  Once again.  Happy Birthday Denise!

More Maybe Christmas

Hey Stampers!  Welcome to my Saturday Project Bin post.  Sorry I have been MIA but last week I was down with a flu bug or something and now my hubby and I are sharing a computer (read he is hogging it)!   So today's card is features stamps from the Maybe Christmas set.  I used a card sketch again which I don't know about you guys but I am getting addicted to these babies.  The sketch I used is Mojo Monday #361.  The link for this sketch takes you to Kristie Marcotte's blog because she add all the measurements on to the sketches that she uses for her cards.  I wanted to make it as easy as possible to recreate the card with this sketch.  I used Real Red and Glorious Green ink from Stampin' UP!, along with with Christmas Red stickles for the berries in my holly.  The card stock is from Crafter's Companion Luxury Red card stock in the matte finish.  I linked to it but according to their site it isn't available right now.  The pattern paper is also from Crafter's Companion and is called Festive Wonder.  My card is A2 size and attached to a white card base. I haven't stamped anything on the inside yet because I am frantically trying to make all my Christmas cards.  I hope you enjoyed this card and thank you for stopping by.

State of Mind

Good morning Stampers and Happy Saturday.  I need to be honest and let you know I nearly forgot about y'all today not because you aren't awesome but because yesterday we had a huge blog hop with CardMaker magazine and it was amazing as it was  my first ever blog hop!  So today's card continues in the theme of Christmas of course.  We only have 22 shopping days left and I will need everyone one of them!  Okay for the card.  I am using the Maybe Christmas set from The Project Bin (I LOVE this set)

Today's card uses Real Red solid card stock as well two 6x6 sheets from the Jolly collection from Pink & Main.  I used another card sketch....sort of.  What I mean is I left out a layer because I wasn't paying attention and made all my big layers the red patterned with the snowflakes and made only one green piece.  Normally wouldn't be a big deal, just make a new panel but...I used all the paper soooo I had to make a little adjustment.  I also used some red ribbon from my stash as well Christmas Red Stickles.  Here is the sketch that I used for the card today.

So that is my project today.  I hope you take a minute and check out The Project Bin and all the wonderful stamp sets that are offered.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Card maker blog hop

Hey Stampers! Welcome to my stop on the The Project Bin and CardMaker Christmas blog hop. If you are hopping along you probably just came from Clare's blog.

Today I have for you a set of cards using the sentiments from the Maybe Christmas set from The Project Bin.  For my cards I used patterned papers from both Doodlebug's Milk & Cookies collection and from Pink & Main the Jolly collection.  My solid card stock in today's cards is all from Stampin' UP! because I have a large stash of it.  I used Real Red, Night of Navy, and Wild Wasabi.  I used card sketches from Operation Write Home, Sketch Saturday, and Reverse Confetti.  So lets get started.

Card one uses Night of Navy card stock and a sheet from Milk & Cookies. I used sketch 27 from Reverse Confetti which I turned sideways.  My sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink, I used silver and white baker's twice from Lawn Fawn.  I found these sketches with all the dimensions already figured out so I didn't have to think too hard (lol!)

My next card uses Wild Wasabi card stock and two different plaid patterns from Jolly.  My sentiment on this card is stamped in Glorious Green (this is a retired Stampin' UP! color).  The ribbon is green trimmed with silver that I got last year at my local Michael's store.  Sketch 373 from Sketch Saturday  was used for this card

My final card today uses Real Red card stock and two sheets of patterned paper from the Jolly collection.  My sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black.  I added some red and green pearls from my stash to add some dimension and interest and used card sketch 49 from Operation Write Home.

My stop has come to end, thank you so much for playing along with us and if you would like to continue to hop along, Tamie is your next stop.  If you jumped into the hop in the middle and want to start at the beginning visit CardMaker blog to get the entire line up of blogs and links.
