Yappy Birthday!

Hey Stampers!  Thanks for dropping by.  Today is the last day of the Love Your Pets Blog Hop presented by Jessica Lynn Original.  I have had so much fun participating in this hop.  It makes my heart happy to know that just by uploading my cards to her blog Jessica Lynn is going to donate money to Lucky Mute Rescue.  All the information on the blog hop is in Jessica's post.  There is also a link where you can donate money directly if you are so inclined.

Today's card uses the lab puppy image.  The images in Flynne's Puppies are so adorable.  I colored him with my Copics C3, C5, C7, and C9.  The ducky is Y23, Y18, Y15.  I can't not find my notes o his eyes.  I used my white gel pen to add some high lights.  I used my Paw Prints Embossing Folder.  I used a precut frame that reminds me of a Polaroid picture.  I stamped "Yappy Birthday in black ink.  The strip of pattern paper is from the Rainbow paper pad from Pink and Main. The card base is Sunshine card stock from Simon Says Stamp.

So that is my card for today. I hoped you have enjoyed the hop and getting to see some different stamp designs.  Thank you for stopping by.

Tiddly Inks Spring Blog Hop!

Hey Stampers!  Happy Saturday!  I am participating today in another blog hop.  I am hopping with Tiddly Inks.  Christy is doing things a little different instead of us linking our blogs to each others, she will have a post today that links all the blogs that are participating so just go to the Tiddly Inks blog that I linked and start the hop.  Tiddly Inks does amazing digital images and recently starting doing clear stamps.  I used Wryn's Berry Sweet for my card today.  The hop is all about Spring and I love the Wryn images. I used my Prisma color pencils to color everything but I am so sorry I forgot to write down what I used for each piece.  I have the 72 piece set of Prismacolor pencils I really like how it turned out however I would probably color her dress different next time but that is just me.  The card base is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 so it made a top fold card in Doll Pink from Simon Says Stamp.  I used a piece of Flirty Floral  patterned paper from Queen & Co.  I am out of town and don't have access to all my supplies and forgot to grab stamp set so to improvise I used a purple marker that I found on my niece's table and carefully wrote "Happy Spring!"

I am relatively new to coloring with the pencils so I haven't mastered blending by using a white pencil but overall happy with how she turned out.  So I hope you check out the hop and visit some of the other participants and give their blogs some love.  Thank you for stopping by!

Memory Lane

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday! It is crazy that we are at the end of April already.  Wasn't I just commenting about it being the end of March?  Today's card features Kinda Sorta from The Project Bin.  I used "I like walking down memory lane because I love running into you".  I am most likely going to turn this into a sympathy card or maybe even a thinking of you card.  I used Green Apple card stock from Simon Says Stamp, as well as a Gold from the Assorted Glimmer Card stock.  My pattern paper is from Queen and Company called Flirty Florals.  I got this paper pad in Love Jar kit while the kit is sold out you can still get the 6x6 paper pad.  To create the fancy edges on the pattern paper and the Gold glimmer I used the Fancy Scalloped Border Dies from Kat Scrappiness.  When I attached the sentiment to piece to the right side, I thought the card looked bare but didn't want to cover the beautiful card stock soooo I broke out my Nuvo Glitter Drops (you thought I was going to say I used the Glossy Dots...lol...not this week).  I used Sunlight Meadow, Honey Gold, Pink Champagne, Orange Soda, Dazzling Blue, and Emerald City.  I put them all over the patterned paper.  I did do three dots above and below the sentiment.  I heat embossed my sentiment with Liquid Platinum embossing powder from Ranger.  This is a pretty quick, simple card.  I hope you like it and check out the wonderful products available from The Project Bin.

I have linked to all the products I used today but  with the Nuvo Drops, I linked the  set from Amazon rather than the individual bottles.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Love Your Pets Blog Hop

Hey Stampers!  Welcome to the Love Your Pets Blog Hop brought to you by JessicaLynnOriginal.com.  I am so honored to take part in this hop as I was chosen to be a guest designer for this hop and was sent the most adorable set called Flynne's Puppies. I will be making and posting two additional cards using this adorable set and at least one video this week.  If you have this set or the kitty equivalent Celine's Kittens, make a card and add it to JessicaLynn's post If you don't have the JessicaLynn set but have a different dog or cat set and want to make a card please do and link it up.  This hop is different than other blog hop's I have participated in and here's why

We are going to be raising money for a local group called Lucky Mutts Rescue. (https://www.luckymuttsrescue.org)
For each card that is uploaded on our linky featuring a JessicaLynnOriginal stamp, we will donate 50 cents. For each that features another company, but is a pet stamp will get 20 cents.
We will also have a donate link on our site so if people just want to donate to them. If we raise $50 or $5000 all of the money is going to a great location. This is our first year, so I am hoping that we can do this each year.. and add more and more people to our event!

Now for the crafty stuff.  My card for today. I used the pug image from Flynne's Puppies.  I colored him with my Copic Markers.  I used E33,E35,E37, and E39.  His little tongue was done with R20 and R30.  His nose I just used black.  I used my white Jelly Roll pen to add the white accents on his muzzle and a little on his tail.  The base of my card is 110# Recollections white card stock.  I used a piece of Pacific Point card stock from my stash. I ran it through a Darice embossing folder called Paw Prints  that I picked up at my local Joann's. The pattern paper is from a Pink and Main 6x6 paper pad called Rainbow. My favorite part of my card is that  I put this little guy on an action wobbler. I love how this card turned out.  Here is quick video of the wobbler in action. It really is a super quick video but I love what the action wobbler adds to the card.  I hope you enjoyed my card today and will pop over to Jessica Lynn's blog and follow the entire hop.  I will be back on Monday with another card using Flynne's puppies. Thanks for stopping by

Yello!

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  I hope everyone is having a great day and may the weather be the correct season where you are.  So I am really ready for Spring and the bright colors that come with it so today's card is a little spring like.  I used the Yello! set from The Project Bin.  This was one of my very first sets from TPB and what drew me to it was the sentiments.  So I don't have any fruit patterned paper which my husband found hard to believe (HA!) so I did what any good crafter would do and made my own.  I used the full and half lemon slice to make my pattern.  I used Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks as well as Dandelion and Cantaloupe Memento inks.  I stamped it on Simon Says Stamp white card stock.  I took a piece of Sunshine card stock also from Simon Says Stamp and made two 4-bar cards.
This set comes with a matching die to cut out the "Yello!"  I stamped that in Wild Honey Distress Oxide and then cut it out with the matching die.
I trimmed my "patterned"  paper to fit my cards and adhered them with score tape. I used a piece of Sunshine card stock to break up the pattern and adhered the Yello to it with foam dots. It seemed to blend into the background adhered directly to the patterned piece.  I added 3 silver glossy dots to the right corner of the strip.  I added some extra sparkle with my Spectrum Noir clear Sparkle pen, I when over the "O" and the fruit slices.  On the ones I stamped in the Distress Oxides, the sparkle pen activated the ink so it goes those some contrasting color.
I  stamped "Squeeze the Day!" in Oreo Black ink right onto my patterned piece  and added more silver glossy dots (I did mention before I am addicted to those)  The inside sentiment for both cards is the same.  I stamped "when life gives you lemons take them....free stuff is good."
I love this sentiment.  It makes me chuckle every time I read it.  These cards would be cute to send/give to someone as a pick me up!
I hope you enjoyed the cards today.  Thank  you for stopping by.

Love you to Pieces

Hey Stampers! Happy Wednesday!  I know I am really late with this week's post for the Project Bin but I had a small family crisis I had to take care of so I didn't get my project done until a little bit ago.  Everyone is okay, well my sister is really sick and needed me so I took care of her but got some time tonight to finish up so I thought I would post even though its super late.  So I am a YouTube troll and I love watching videos of other people's projects.  I have been watching a channel called The Marker Geek and she designs for Stamping Bella.   The other day she made a "pizza" box and it got me thinking  about Spencer's set and how it is the perfect set to make  a box like this and some little cards that could be used as lunch box notes or other little notes for the people in our lives.  So I made a box and a couple of cards to go in it.  The top photo is the box before I added the colored card stock, image, and sentiment.  I created the pattern on the box the same way I did the background from last week's card.  I used the direct to paper ink technique.  I used
Fired Brick Distress Ink, Pacific Point and Dandelion Memento Dew Drop.  The colored card stock is a blue and a red from stash and the yellow is Sunshine from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored the puzzle heart from the set using a red, blue, and yellow marker no fancy technique on this just simple coloring.  I fussy cut it out and popped it up with foam dots.  I stamped "Love You to Pieces" on the front with Oreo ink from Taylored Expressions.  I added three large Silver Glossy Dots.

At this point, you could stamp a sentiment on the inside and make the box your card but I decided to make a couple 3x3 cards for the inside.  I made two but you could probably get six to fit inside without envelopes.  The first card mirrors the top
of the box without the card stock layers. The heart is adhered at angle in the top left and I added more Glossy Dots.
The final little card I adhered a 2.5 x 2.5 piece of blue card stock to the white base.  I stamped the puzzle heart and the sentiment "why fit in when you were born to stand out".  I added more silver Glossy Dots.  I didn't stamp anything inside the cards so a personalized note could be added.  This project would be easy to personalize for any occasion.  You could probably make the cards 3.5 x 3.5 but I like the 3x3 size.  So I hope you liked my project for today.  I have added links for the video and the step by step tutorial for the box.  I have also linked any supplies I used that are still available.  Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you take a minute to visit
The Project Bin and check out Spencer's Set and all the other amazing sets they offer.

April is Autism Awareness Month

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  Today's card is special.  Not because I use a crazy awesome technique or fancy fold but because of its message.  April is Autism Awareness month and Monday was World Autism Day.  Denise who owns and operates The Project Bin designed an amazing set called Spencer's Set.  It has some awesome sentiments in it and a wonderful puzzle piece heart.  A portion of the proceeds for this set are donated to Autism Research Institute.  Today's card was inspired by the child of a high school classmate.  Her son has autism and creates the most amazing art.  He was the feature story on his local news channel where he talked about
his art.  One of the pieces I saw during the story was very abstract looking and was bold and vivid.  So I channeled Matthew with today's background.  I took four colors Fired Brick Distress  Ink, Mustard Seed Distress Ink, Stampin'UP! Pacific Point and Cucumber Crush inks and I used the direct to paper method and applied the colors one at a  time until I was happy was the color mix.  I love this way this turned out and think I will make more backgrounds like this.  I then stamped the sentiment "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?- Dr. Seuss" in Oreo black ink.  I took a tag die and cut the sentiment out and used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to the center of the card.  On the inside I stamped the heart and "Love needs no words".  I thought about using glitter and sequins but decided to just let my "art" speak for itself.  I am really happy with how this card turned out.  My mojo has returned and is in full force now so I am riding the wave.  I hope you enjoyed today's card and will check out The Project Bin where you can get Spencer's set and a ton more amazing sets.  Thank you for stopping by.
