One more Easter Card

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  I am bringing you one more Easter card.  I can't believe it is already the end of March.  The year is already flying away.  I am using Spring Zen from The Project Bin for my stamp set.  I will tell you this was an easy, quick card.  You could mass produce these quickly and have a gorgeous finished product.  I used a stencil from Craftin' Desert Divas, Bright Horizons.  Do you every see something and can immediately imagine a card using it and the stamp set you need?  When I saw this stencil I immediately thought of sunrise service on Easter Sunday morning so that is what I made, the sun bursting from the clouds.  The stencil really did all the work for me. This sunrise needed the sentiments from Spring Zen.  So here is the card

So I used my post tape to hold the stencil down and then I started inking. I used a Memento Dew Drop in Dandelion for the sun rays.  I added some Mustard Seed distress ink for a little bit of contrast.  The clouds are done using Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress inks.  Once I liked the coverage I had for the colors, I stamped the sentiment "Christ the Lord is risen today" in Oreo black ink from Taylored Expressions.  I attached my card panel to an A2 card base made from Doll pink card stock from Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped "Happy Easter" inside with the same Oreo ink.  So of course because I am addicted to them, I had to add some Glossy Dots from Pink and Main.  I need a support group for these things.  I love this card and I think my mojo is back.  Craft room is almost organized again so I am rocking and rolling .  I hope you enjoyed my card today and check out the fantastic stamp sets on The Project Bin website.  Thank you for stopping by.

Spring is in the AIr (Hopefully)

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday and I hope it is Spring like where you are, because I don't know about you but I  am ready for Spring.  Today's project is done using the Spring Zen from The Project Bin.    I have been struggling with mojo but I was able to break through and create a couple of cute cards with Spring colors.  Both cards use the tulip image and the "Spring is in the Air" sentiment.  The first card is more like a mini card.  I used a yellow card base from my stash.  This card stock has a little texture to it so it gives a little bit of interest.  I stamped the tulip image with Daffodil Delight onto the base to give the look of patterned paper.  I stamped the tulip in Cucumber Crush ink from Stampin' UP! onto a piece of Bazzil white cotton card stock.  I took my BP5 Spectrum Noir marker and colored the tulip in.  I used a die cut picture frame that I got a few weeks ago at my local Hobby Lobby in a clearance shopping spree (a story for another time).  I stamped the sentiment in Cucumber Crush on the frame and added three pink glossy dots from Pink and Main.  The inside is stamped in the same ink and used "Spring brings beautiful things."

The other card uses the same image and sentiment.  I used the same yellow card stock and stamped the tulip in Cucumber Crush, three times.  I wanted to do something a little bit different with the coloring so I used a couple of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens to color the tulip this time.  I used Soft Jade, Seabreeze, and Peony.  I stamped the sentiment in Cucumber Crush again on a strip of white card stock and put two yellow glossy dots, one on either side of the sentiment.  I adhered the sentiment across the tulips and I added three more glossy dots in yellow to the right bottom corner.  My card base for this card is a standard A2 made from Green Apple card stock from Simon Says Stamp.  My favorite is the smaller card but I like how both turned out today.

I added a couple of other photos that picked up the sparkle in the flowers on this card and a close up of the background stamping on the card above.  I hope you enjoyed my projects today and take the take time to check out The Project Bin and all the fabulous stamps available.  Thank  you for stopping by.

Deer Mom

Hey Stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  Today's card features the Deer Mom set from The Project Bin. I used most of the sentiments that come in the set.  I wanted to do a fun colorful card for Mother's Day.  I will be honest this is the first Mother's Day card I have made since my own mom passed away in 2014.  So the inks I used are Ocean Mist by Gina K Designs, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, and Daffodil Delight from Stampin' UP!  I also used Oreo Black ink from Taylored Expressions.  I used the Glossy Dots from Pink and Main.  The card base is a standard A2 base cut from Yellow Glimmer card stock from the Assortment pack from Simon Says Stamp.  This card was quick and easy but I think still packs a punch.  Whenever I would give my mom cards, the first thing she would always say to me would be, "well how did you do that one".  So this year I think to celebrate all the wonderful moms I still have in my life, I am going to make a bunch of cards with this set and send them out. I apologize for the short post but my craft room is literally in boxes because I got a new cabinet and I haven't had a minute to unbox everything.  I  will have that done before my next post and maybe I will share a photo or two.  Thank you for stopping by today.  Please check out The Project Bin for this great stamp set and many more as we have some more exciting releases coming  your way soon.

He is Risen

Hey Stampers! Happy Wednesday!  Today's card uses the Spring Zen from The Project Bin. I am using  the cross image from the set.  The whole time I was putting my card together I kept hearing the song Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis.  I am not gonna lie to you guys, I have been struggling with my mojo lately and to top it off, I am packing up my craft room because I am getting a new cabinet so I have make room so we can get it into my room but it will give me a ton of new storage space so that is exciting.

This idea for this card came from the song.  Mainly because there were three people that day long ago when Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.  I did two plain brown crosses and then one is a blue green because to me that represents him rising again so that cross should be lighter in my mind. So more about the card itself.  I stamped the cross three times and then colored them.  On the two brown crosses I used a combo of E33, E35, E37, E18, and E59.  The green cross is BG11, BG13, and BG32.  The background sky is Broken China Distress Oxide ink.  I used some green textured green card stock from my stash that I got at Michael's a while ago.  To soften it because it was a pretty bright green, I covered it with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink.  I cut the hills using a circle die, I cut two circles from the paper and then cut them in half.  The hill to the left and right I attached flat to the card base.  The middle one I used foam tape to pop it up.  The crosses were the same principle, the left and right crosses were attached flat.  The green cross I used the foam tape again.  I stamped the sentiment "Christ the Lord is risen today" and I stamped that in black ink on white card stock.  I attached it to the front with foam tape.  I used glossy dots in green, clear, and blue.  I attached the base to a standard A2 size card.  For one final touch on the green cross, I went over it with my clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.  So that is my card for today.  I wanted to share with a quick peek at a new stamp set that is available in the The Project Bin store called Deer Mom.  There are some great sentiments and a cute deer image in this set which obviously geared towards Mother's Day so next week I will be using this set to make a card maybe two.  Thanks for stopping by.
